A one off vintage piece with an extraordinary axe like silhouette and enough strange little details to make this one particularly special.

The blackened metal head forms a striking cross like silhouette, with a broad curved blade cutting through one side and smaller projecting edges surrounding it. A teardrop shaped opening cuts through the centre, adding another unusual detail to an already wonderfully strange piece.

Paired with a beautifully worn wooden handle carrying all the knocks, marks and patina gathered over the years, the entire piece has an almost ceremonial feel. From a distance it could easily be mistaken for some strange gothic cross or relic, only revealing its more macabre form on closer inspection.

At 35cm long, it has the presence of a much larger piece without taking over the wall. Equal parts medieval looking, macabre and just plain unusual, it sits beautifully amongst gothic gallery walls, antique curiosities and darker collections.

Individually sourced for the Hallowed Halls, this is a one off piece. The piece pictured is the exact one you will receive.

Size: Approx. 35cm long

As a genuine vintage piece, signs of age, wear and previous use are to be expected and are part of its character. Please refer to all photographs for its individual condition.
